Soapstone Prairie Natural Area, North Parking Lot  (map available at fcgov.com/naturalareas): “Loren Eiseley and the Paleoindians of Lindenmeier.”
Learn about poet/scientist Loren Eiseley and his role in one of the biggest anthropological discoveries of the 20th century. Mr. Eiseley discovered the first Folsom point imbedded in the vertebra of Bison antiquus, demonstrating that paleoindians hunted this giant extinct bison over 10,000 years ago in Colorado.
